Tick Control

One of the most dreaded pests for animal owners, the tick actually burrows into human and animal skin where it makes a nice comfy home for itself and refuses to leave without a fight.

Living Habits:
Ticks are usually carried indoors by family pets and then infest the surrounding area. They will “attach” themselves to their host by burrowing their heads into the flesh, drinking their fill, then dropping off to look for another host. Ticks are considered one of the main carriers of disease, especially Lyme disease.

Appearance:
Most ticks are red-brown in color, flat when they haven’t recently eaten and have eight legs at maturity.

Diet:
All ticks feed exclusively on the blood of vertebrates.

Breeding:
Mating occurs on an animal host and then the female will drop to the ground and lay her eggs.
